My work mainly features the urban environment and the places I know best: London and its nearby area. It is an interest in architecture and a fascination with the way space is taken up in our cities that have led to these pieces, as well as the patterns, repetition and colours found in the built environment. Some of this interest occasionally spills over to lead to work of other subject matter.

I work predominately in relief print, a hand process involving cutting away areas from the surface of a flat block of lino, inking the remaining area and printing from this on to paper. I use oil based inks and print on high quality 100% cotton rag Fabriano paper using an albion press, a Victorian letter press.

The sizes refer to the actual image size. Each image has been signed and numbered under the bottom edge adding approximately another one to two centimetres to that dimension.

If you wish to purchase a print I now take payment by paypal which is a secure method of paying. I send the prints ready mounted to fit in a standard sized frame. The price includes UK postage by next day special delivery which needs to be signed for on delivery. I will let you know by email when I have posted it. For customers wishing to have the print sent abroad please choose the postage option.

2012 shows

23 Jan - 10 Feb: The Vinery Gallery, Newland House School, Twickenham TW1 4TQ (www.newlandhouse.net
This is an exciting project instigated by the Head of Art at Newland House, John Ritchie.  The main concept of the gallery is that it is impossible to take the whole school to an Art Gallery every few weeks, so why not bring the Art Work to the school where the children, staff and parents of Newland House can study up close high quality work giving them a depth of understanding into the creative process involved in their creation.
My work will be on display at the school for three weeks.  All works will be for sale for collection at the end of the show.

27 March - 8 April: Greenwich Printmakers Gallery, 1A Greenwich Market, London SE10 9HZ.  It will be my turn to be the featured artist at our lovely gallery giving me a whole wall space to display my work  aswell as additional browser pieces on show.  (www.greenwich-printmakers.co.uk)
